Hi, my name is Joshua Erickson and I have been here at UVSC since 2001. When I started out here I was studying Biology, originally but became fascinated by the chemistry involved. UVSC offers a minor in chemistry and initially I decided to get that minor along with my chemistry degree. The more I got into chemistry, the more fascinated I became by it. Although I was a little nervous about the math involved, I decided to make the switch to study chemistry and become a chemistry major and I haven´t looked back since. I have enjoyed my studies and my time here at UVSC. I am a senior now and will be graduating in April. Chemistry is a fascinating subject and has applications to nearly every branch of science. If you are interested in chemistry or any of the other physical sciences, UVSC would be a great place to start your education. They do have a four year degree in chemistry as well as a minor, as I mentioned earlier. The campus is small and easy to find your way around and the classes are usually small as well so you can get the personalized attention that you need. I would recommend UVSC.
