2009 Results-
A total of 146 schools participated in this contest with 358 7th graders, 383 8th graders, 503 9th graders, 328 10th graders, 346 11th graders, and 314 12th graders (for a total of 2232 students).

The exams had 40 questions (past exams mostly had 40 problems). This way, there were very few ties. A correct answer was scored with 5 points, incorrect 0, and blank 1 point. This way, there were no negative scores, and there was no advantage to either guessing or leaving an answer blank (but if one alternative could be eliminated, it was advantageous to guess). The maximum number of points possible on each exam is 200.
