Exam Rules
|
- No calculators allowed.
- No cheating. Any student found cheating will be disqualified.
- Do not bring more students per grade than have been registered. You may bring fewer than have been registered.
- There are two different exams--one for 7th-9th graders and one for 10th-12th graders. Make sure you have the right exam and the answer sheet for your grade.
- Before starting the exam, enter your name completely on the answer bubble sheet to get your exams graded. (The school information will already be encoded on your answer sheet.)
- The exam has 40 questions. A student has 2 and 1/2 hours to complete the exam. Each correct answer is worth 5 points, an incorrect answer is worth 0 points and a blank answer is worth 1 point. This way, guessing has the same expected average as leaving an answer blank.
- Use a #2 pencil on the exam. It is a multiple choice exam, with scantron answer sheets. Completely fill in the answers and completely erase any mistakes or stray pencil markings.
- The exams and solutions will be posted online.
- Prizes will be awarded during the award banquet to:
- The top 6 individual winners in every grade.
- The best team in every grade in each sport category. The team scores are calculated by adding the best 3 individual scores out of the team.
- Social security numbers will be collected to award cash prizes.
